Invisalign - DAY 4

7:58 AM

I have this constant, dull headache in the mornings that just won't go away. I hope this does not become a constant occurrence for the next 9 months.

I had a butt-load of work once I came in so my breakfast sat on my desk for a while before I could get to it. I also had to wait for my coffee to cool down. I had my aligners out for a half hour before I took one sip of caffeine or one bite of morning substance. Note to self: don't be in such a hurry to take the plastic out of your mouth. Better yet, put an ice cube in your coffee so you can drink it immediately.

Aligners Out of Mouth - 1 Hour

10:17 AM

I am not getting used to the saliva factor. Seriously, where did all of it come from?

I believe my bite is being corrected in the back before all my front teeth are shifted. I am not sure about this, but it feels like my back teeth have been pulled out (towards my cheeks). It just feels like my bite is somewhat off back there. Of course, I am only guessing.

Aligners Out of Mouth - 45 Mins

11:03 PM

I had acting class tonight and was surprised at how many people did not notice the aligners (or, if they did, they didn't mention it).

I am catching myself looking at other's teeth and seeing if either 1. they are wearing Invisalign or 2. they need to have some work done on their teeth. I don't think I have ever looked at some one's mouth while they are talking and now I am doing it all the time. Don't worry, you will do it, too.

Had dinner before class so...

  1. As someone who has chosen veneers rather than orthodontia to correct her bite, I get the checking out others teeth aspect of life - you will constantly find yourself doing this...At least people believe you have turned into a great listener as you are rapt while they are talking. It can only benefit your character - don't be truthful.
